Associate professor in biogeochemistry at the Cnam Intechmer/ LUSAC (Cherbourg, France). I am working on interactions between seagrasses and their surrounding environment focusing on oxygen and nutrient exchanges.

Régis GALLON (LUSAC, Cnam Intechmer)

Isabelle POIRIER (LUSAC, Cnam Intechmer)

I am an associate professor in marine microbiology at the Cnam-Intechmer (Cherbourg, France), with an expertise in bacterial physiology, metal impact on marine microorganisms, proteomics and metagenomics. In the NISYEBIO project, I will participate in the characterization of bacterial communities of surrounding environments of seagrasses.

Martine BERTRAND (LUSAC, Cnam Intechmer)

I am an associate professor in marine biochemistry and phycology at the Cnam-Intechmer (Cherbourg, France), with an expertise in plant physiology and pigments, proteomics, metal impact on microalgae, and taxonomy of algae.

In the NISYEBIO project, I am the thesis director of Marie DUVERGER. I can help her for the seagrass culture, photosynthesis and analysis, for making gels, for bibliography and for the writing of her thesis.

Gwendoline GREGOIRE (LUSAC, Cnam Intechmer)

I am an associate professor in marine sedimentology at the CNAM Intechmer /LUSAC. I am working on sedimentaries mobility and sources at the land-sea interface and at various spatio-temporal scales. Aim of these studies is better understand further developments of theses environments in actually context of climate change. In NISYEBIO project, I characterize sedimentary substrat of marine seagrasses (grain size and geochemistry analyses multi-element geochemistry).

Anne MURAT (LUSAC, Cnam Intechmer)

Patrick LAUNEAU (LPG, Nantes Université)

Edouard METZGER (LPG-BIAF, Université d’Angers)

I am an associate Professor at Université d’Angers, Geology Department and vice-director of the Laboratoire de Planétologie et Géosciences (CNRS). My research focus on early diagenetic processes in dynamic environments such as tidal mudflats, mangroves and hypoxic continental margins. I developped a series of methodological approaches to study microenvironments and interactions between organisms and their surrounding environment.

Michael KUHL (Copenhagen university)

Kasper BRODERSEN (Copenhagen university)

I am an Assistant Professor at UCPH-BIO (Denmark) with a strong track-record in microenvironmental and molecular studies of seagrasses. My research involves the combined use of electrochemical and fiber-optic microsensors, advanced solute imaging techniques and molecular methodology to study: (i) how marine plants alter the biogeochemical processes and chemical conditions in their rhizosphere to e.g., detoxify the surrounding sediment and mobilize essential nutrients, and (ii) how epiphytes affect the leaf microenvironment and performance/fitness of marine plants. In the NISYEBIO project, I will primarily be involved in the method development related to optical chemical imaging.

Marie DUVERGER – doctorante du projet (Université Caen Normandie)

I am a PhD student at the Université de Caen working in the CNAM-Intechmer with Florian Cesbron. My thesis in the NYSIEBIO project is about developing a new imagery system for the environmental biogeochemistry with an application to the seagrasses (Z. marina and Z. noltii on the Cotentin coast). I am working on DET 2D hydrogels, planar optodes and seagrasses.

Student at the University of Caen in Master 1 of Marine Sciences, I am assisting the ANR NISYEBIO project as part of my internship.
I’m working on 1) the re-establishment in the natural environment of Zostera noltei samples cultivated in aquarium and 2) the physico-chemical monitoring and drone images treatment after re-implantation.

I am assisting in the ANR NISYEBIO project as part of my Master 1 internship in Marine Sciences. I am working on the mapping of seagrass beds as well as the link between dissolved chemical elements and prokaryotes present in the sediment.
